9 Loves...

When I started my travelers notebook I knew that I didn't want to have to stick to the norms of things. I knew that I was going to give myself permission to not have titles if I didn't want to. To not have photos if I didn't want to. I knew that I wanted to make one that sometimes didn't have a purpose other than to use pretty things in my stash and not include any information at all.

So I set out to make a page in my all about me notebook. I didn't have a photograph for this page but I didn't care.

So here it is... For some reason the why I have edited the photos the brown paper under the number 9 is much darker than it should be.

So sometimes I just wanted to 'sit and make pretty things' an expression my friend lauren says. And I throughly enjoyed it!

The funniest photos!

I have had the photo for this page sitting on my computer waiting to be scrapped for ages. It makes me laugh each and every time I see it. Just my son and his cousin messing around one day. Looks those faces!!!!

This one turned out very clean and simple but I spent a lot of time on the little details which I love doing! And I wanted to make sure I used my Cameo lots on this page as even though it is new I still sometimes forget to use it.

anyway...thanks for dropping by!

Its a bit hot...

It is very hot here in the UK at the moment....which means not a lot of housework gets done and I have an excuse to just sit and scrap!

Here is a page I did the other day using the New Fancy Pants...which I am currently in love with!

If ever there was a collection that was mad for me...this would be it...THe papers, the die cuts! SWOON!

Here are some close ups...

I bought the 6 by 6 pad...they are my favourite...I prefer them as they fit the way I scrapbook perfectly and then I buy the florals and the ones that I think will be good for base pages in the 12 by 12 size!

Thanks for looking!

Traveler's notebook.

I spend far too much time on Pinterest and You tube. I really do. Especially if I want to learn about something. And travellers notebooks caught my eye.
So after many many days of research and making trial and error. I made my first notebook. And then I made my first page.

I can't wait to make another page in this notebook, I really enjoyed the size!

15 years!

I sometimes can't believe that my husband and I have been married for 15 years. It doesn't seem that long. I wanted to commemorate that with a new page. I have been neglecting this blog as of late and I have lots to upload.
Here is the page that I have been working on today. I had wanted to have a go at a noughts and crosses design and I finally had the chance to do that today.

I used the 6 by 6 paper pad by Shimelle called go now go on this line. I am part of the Hey little Magpie design team now and I picked it up as part of my design team scrapbooking products. I really love it!
Here are some of the close ups.

Thanks for popping in. I will update here in the next few days with my first project life and a traveler journal.

I even broke out the paints!

I am not a mixed media person. To be honest I have no idea what I am doing with mists and sprays and paints.

I have been criticised in the past for not using mixed media on my pages.....so I decided to take the plunge.

So I basically sat there and watched the queen of mists and sprays Missy Whidden. I have watched every video she has ever created....and Then I panicked ha!

I don't have mists and sprays but I do have oil pastels and paint...so I broke those out and had a try.

I don't have any mists and I really wasn't ready to add water colour on the background using the packaging technique just yet.
I did some strips of paint and added some white gesso over the top to calm the colours down. I then also added some washi tape over the top as well.

I am happy with my first try...

Well its a start and I will see where it leads me!

All pretty in pink...

I have tried to make this page so many times recently. It has looked very different to this a few times. But then I made this and decided that I finally like it.

I only used the 6 by 6 paper pad from pebbles , the tealighful  for this one. I usually only buy this size and then only buy a few of the 12 by 12 papers. I tend to only use small bits of the paper so buying it in this size makes more sense as I get all the papers.

I cut out the letters on my cameo and backed them with the pattern paper.

It is very pretty in pink....

Here are some of the details on the page...

Thanks for popping by!
